You should seek out these places and obtain information on the services that they offer and the necessary steps to getting a summer job as a lifeguard. 3) Once you have gathered all the information that is necessary to get a summer job as a lifeguard, it is important that you pick two or three places that you prefer to work. Once you have selected these locations, it is important that you find out what you must do prior to becoming a lifeguard. For example, you may be required to take a course that trains you to become a lifeguard, a class that teaches CPR, or even a basic swimming class.
